Marketing and Measurement Model

A marketing and measurement model is the key to successful digital analytics, it defines what success looks like on your website and develops a series of KPIs and targets to track. A well-developed model will consider your online objectives, strategies, key performance indicators and key segments for measurement. We will develop a marketing and measurement model for your business so your success is clear and can be tracked. We will then implement the appropriate goals and funnels to track conversion rates across your key segments. A dashboard will also be built to pull the information together in a simple summary (additional dashboards may be created if required).

Setup of Custom Filters

Google analytics will capture unwanted data which can impact your analysis unless filters are specified. As standard we set up at least 2 views which the data can be accessed by. One view contains all unfiltered data, the other contains filters for filtering out bots (spam) or internal traffic from your business. Filters can also be set up to capture only internal data. This can only be done if a static IP address has been provided.

Custom Visitor Segments

Custom visitor segments make it easier to explore your data and get meaningful insights. We set up custom segments to make it easier to identify loyal visitors, top spending visitors, visitors that made a purchase, visitors that abandoned the cart and more. Comparing data by segments can uncover a wealth of insight. Understanding your audience better will help shift your non-converting visitors to converting customers.

Custom Reports

We use Google Data Studio to deliver you a fully customised analytics report. This is usually 7-15 pages of detailed reporting outlining the key features of the measurement and marketing model as well as channel performance, AdWords performance, website engagement, top performing pages, device level engagement, visitor demographics, segmentation by visitor intent and much more.

Automated Email Reports

Custom Attribution Models

An attribution model is the way that credit is assigned to a sale or a conversion. Often it will take more than one customer interaction across a number of channels before they decide to make a purchase or complete a goal. A customer may come initially via organic search, then paid search, then social then directly to your site before finally converting. Knowing what attribution model to apply is key to understanding which channels are performing and which are not. Google Analytics comes with several default models, but these don’t often reflect the way your business engages customers. We set up custom attribution models that give you insights into how each of your channels are performing or contributing to your goals across multiple user interactions.

Cross Domain Tracking

Cross domain tracking involves setting up two or more separate related websites so that the data is captured as if it were a single website. In this case, visitor interactions across the two websites are recorded as a single session.

Custom Events

Tracking custom events involves setting up appropriate URL tags to track user events such as video views or button clicks. We set up custom events to help track the key events across your website for easy reporting.

Call Tracking

As a result of coming to your website, a customer may decide to call you directly which either generates a micro conversion (enquiry) or macro conversion (lead capture or sale depending on your business). Tracking which channels these conversions should be attributed to can be critical to understanding the overall value of your marketing efforts. Call tracking software is designed to keep track of the customer channel and push the data to Google Analytics. We will set up call tracking tags on your website from your chosen vendor and integrate into the appropriate reports and dashboards.

Enhanced E-commerce Setup

We set up ecommerce tracking on your website plus key events related to ecommerce. This includes add to cart events and remove from cart events for tracking shopping cart abandonment rates.

E-Commerce Reporting

We set up reporting across appropriate ecommerce goals and funnels to help you see visitor progress towards goal completion and where they are dropping off. This helps identify areas of abandonment that may need further focus.
