Who qualifies

We are picky about who we take on, so it is worth a quick check before you send the intro.

A referral qualifies when the brand

  • Signs a qualifying engagement, which means a retainer of $3,000 a month or more on a minimum 3 month term, or a project of $25,000 or more
  • Sells physical products online
  • Turns over $2M or more a year
  • Runs on Shopify, Shopify Plus or Neto, or wants to move to one
  • Is not already a client and has not spoken to our team in the past 12 months
  • Can be reached at a business email address


We are not a fit for brands that

  • Sell adult products, weapons, tobacco or vapes, or gambling
  • Are shopping purely on price

Questions

Do I need to be a Perceptiv client to refer?

No. Anyone can refer.

What if two people refer the same brand?

The first referral we receive is the one that counts.

What if I work at the brand I am referring?

The brand still gets the $2,500 credit. The $1,500 cash does not apply to referrals inside your own group.

When do I get paid?

In two parts. $750 within 30 days of the referred brand paying their first invoice, and $750 within 30 days of their third invoice or at project handover.

How many brands can I refer?

As many as you like. There is no cap.

Will they know the intro came from me?

Yes, we mention you when we reach out. Tell us if you would rather we did not.

What if they do not sign?

Nothing happens. There is no downside for you.

Is the $1,500 taxable?

Yes. We pay against a tax invoice, so you will need an ABN. Any tax on the payment is your responsibility.

Referral Program Terms

1. The program
The Perceptiv Referral Program rewards people who introduce ecommerce brands to Perceptiv Digital. By sending a referral you accept these terms.

2. Who can refer
Anyone aged 18 or over. You do not need to be a Perceptiv client.

3. Qualifying referrals
A referral qualifies when the referred brand becomes a paying Perceptiv client and all of the following are true.

  • The brand sells physical products online and turns over $5M or more a year.
  • The brand runs on Shopify, Shopify Plus or Neto, or is migrating to one of them.
  • The brand signs a qualifying engagement, which means a retainer of $3,000 a month or more on a minimum 3 month term, or a project with a contract value of $25,000 or more.
  • The brand is not a current client and has not been in contact with our team in the past 12 months.
  • The referral came through the form on this page, with a valid business email address.
  • The brand signs within six months of the referral date.


We decide whether a referral qualifies. We will tell you at the time you submit whether the brand looks eligible.

4. Rewards

$1,500 cash for each qualifying referral.

Paid in two parts. $750 within 30 days of the referred brand paying their first invoice, and $750 within 30 days of their third invoice or at project handover. If the brand cancels before the second payment falls due, the second payment is not payable.

All amounts are in Australian dollars and include GST if applicable.

5. Program rules

  • First referral counts. If more than one person refers the same brand, only the first referral we receive is eligible.
  • Affiliated referrals. If you work at, own, or hold an interest in the brand you refer, the referral is not eligible for a reward.
  • Disclosure. Tell us about any relationship you have with the brand when you submit. If you are employed by or contracting to a business that has a commercial relationship with the referred brand, you must have your employer’s approval before claiming a reward. If you do not disclose, we may withhold or reverse the reward.

6. Payment
We pay eligible rewards on receipt of a valid tax invoice with an ABN. Payments are made in two parts as set out in clause 4. Any tax on the payment is your responsibility.

7. Changes
We can change, pause or end the program at any time. Referrals we have already accepted will be honoured on the terms that applied when you sent them.
