Background
Entity Brands is a business-to-business (B2B) company that was founded in 2016 in Australia. The company specialises in the provision of uniforms of superior quality for corporate, sporting, and hospitality clubs. In addition to providing a wide range of brands of uniforms, they collaborate closely with businesses to develop individualised solutions for uniforms.
When Entity Brands decided to migrate from Neto to Shopify Plus, they turned to Perceptiv Digital to manage the transition. Additionally, the project required the consolidation of several websites into a single, unified platform environment. Not only did Entity Brands want to streamline their digital presence, but they also wanted to improve the user experience and strengthen overall brand recognition. To ensure a solution that was robust, scalable, and in line with their objectives, Perceptiv Digital worked closely with the team at Entity Brands to migrate their website from Neto to Shopify Plus.
Entity Brand’s Goals
- A successful migration with a carefully constructed plan to reduce or eliminate the risks typically associated with replatforming.
- Consolidation of multiple brands into one site.
- Deliver the necessary frontend and backend functionality to support the marketing and sales activities and goals.
- Create a website with unique sections built for purpose and ease of use to enable the Entity Brands team to efficiently build out internal pages without the need for a developer.
- End up with a consolidated and improved tech stack, with Shopify Plus handling eCommerce marketing and sales.
How We Did It
- The team at Perceptiv Digital instructed the team at Entity Brands on how to leverage Shopify Plus’s B2B capabilities.
- A complex data migration took place for Entity Brands as customer and order data was coming from multiple sources.
- Entity Brands integrated with Netsuite and a few solutions were required in order for them to use an out of the box connector.
Challenges
The main challenge on this project was the data migration. The data needed to be cleansed before the process could begin. Moving customer, order and product data between multiple instances of one platform to another is not easy, good thing you know us now 😉
